New York Art
Call it graffiti. Ruffiti! There is an artist who loves to paint his dogs on uncontested spaces all over Manhattan from construction site fences to buildings. This artist has been able to paint a lot of things and people who pass by his works are always amazed.
With the variety in those who pass by comes a variety in their reactions. You might have seen his work in the movies not to mention on TV. Because of how much exposure there was of his works, it prompted a seven city tour one summer on Route 66. Further information on paintings can be found at dog oil paintings.
What he wanted was to show off his skills without having to deal with art dealers. You have no freedom of expression when you have to deal with art dealers according to him. The artist is always dealing from a weak position and to get to a good position, he has to go through stuff like this.
Portraits like these came to life when he wanted to try something new. This is truly a unique sight for the eyes. Various sizes, colors and forms of the dog meet the eye wherever you look. According to him, this is art at its finest.
The dog portraits are completed with seven swift strokes. Because of how disappointing the art works are at the galleries that he went to, he tried to do something else with paint. Only when his dog show began did a lady living down the street from the gallery go to the gallery. In fact, she bought a $1,500 dog painting from the show. Other great paintings articles are found at oil painting discount.
There were some buyers and then some. Signing a fence was something that the artist did not expect. According to another individual, the artist kidnapped all of these dogs. And one man told him the dogs interrupted the order of things in New York.
The artist was not going to allow these people to ruin his moment. Before engaging in art, he lived a simple life as a buyer and seller of antiques.
He works by utilizing the things he sees in the city. In this case, his nighttime walks take him to the Wall Street area. When the summer hits, you will find him by the countryside. This tour is called the Dogs across America tour.
Applying to job in an Art Supply store?
I want to apply for a job an an art supply store, and am wondering what are the most important things I'll need to know in order to be helpful as a sales person. I'm an art major in college currently, and have some experience with oil and acrylic paints and pottery, but I don't really know any technical details about paints, etc, just have some practical experience.
What would you recommend learning before the interview??
Thanks!
Go to an art store and familiarize yourself with all the items. Just knowing what will be in the inventory will be helpful. Find out what the different brand names are too, and why one shopper may want one brand over a different brand. Also, try to look into why each product would be helpful to certain people in certain cases.
